Here's another excellent little video that Engineer775 put together showing how he made a simple thermo-syphoning hot water heater that uses wood to do the work.
Enjoy!

Perhaps the Coolest Alcohol Stove Yet!
I found this video on YouTube, and thought that this thing is just too complex, when I started watching the video. I think I was wrong. It is just BETTER, that’s all. Yes, it takes longer to make than your typical coke can alcohol stove, but man is it nice!
Check it out below. And remember, be patient, it’s worth the wait.
I have some bottles similar to this in my stash. I’m going to make one this weekend. You do the same, my friends. Happy Easter to you! Christ is risen!
Ciao,
Panchito
P.S. I’m going to try to video the process and then I’ll post it, so keep your eye out for the upcoming video!

The Civilization Starter Kit
Greetings and salutations,
The following link http://issuu.com/amakaruk/docs/civilization_starter_kit_-_v.0.01/33 is something that I've just now found, and am thrilled to have done so! Before clicking on the link, give me a moment to explain what it is...
There is a young physicist by the name of Marcin (think Martian) Jakubowski, born in Poland and now residing in Missouri, near KC, who found that despite having completed a PhD, became aware that he was essentially useless because of it. So, he bailed out and purchased a farm in Missouri, bought a tractor with which to farm his land, broke his tractor twice, and decided that he needed to build a better tractor. All of this lead to a profound change in thinking, the creation of an open-source maker movement aimed at enabling locally-based abundance/post-scarcity mentality, and a plethora of open-sourced designs, which I am now presenting to you.
Here's another link - http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Power_Cube_Design_Rationale that will be of utmost importance to anyone diving into this idea.
The thinking is - take it and run with it!
Enjoy!

Rocket Mass Heaters
Today's post is about Rocket Mass Heaters, a somewhat modern spin on the old, proven technology from Northern Europe - Masonry Stoves, Russian Stoves, Finnish Stoves, etc.
I'm not going to write much on the topic today, but rather introduce you via a video, to Vention4wh, a YouTuber who has 221 videos on the Tube. This is the first one I've watched, and I feel that he does a very good job of explaining, in layman's terms, how a Rocket Mass Heater works. So without futher adieu, here's the video:
Cheers,
Panchito
P.S. Please leave comments, and if you enjoy an article, or it at least provokes you to serious thought, spread the word! Thanks!

Ninja knowledge...
I just stumbled on something that really pissed me off, in a good way. For years now, I’ve been taking our dead batteries back to Sears, or other locations, and giving them freely away. I thought there was nothing I could do with them… I have now come to my senses, finally.
Watch this video of Walter Barrett showing exactly how to recondition a battery, bringing it back to life 100%.
After you’ve watched this video, you no longer have any excuse not to fix your batteries, or to waste money on purchasing a new one.
As a side note, this could easily become a lucrative business. A guy could advertise that he’ll come and pick up any used automotive batteries for free and dispose of them… Then recondition them, and sell them cheap. Great idea.
